I am seeing the same correct-ish behavior with my USB mouse -it now works both when connected at startup and after connect/disconnection. However, when using a USB mouse with gphoto2, I used to (a couple of kernel versions ago) be able to run gphoto2 as a normal user, since my /proc/bus/usb was mounted with devmode=666. however, now I can only run gphoto2 as root or else it gives me this error: An error occurred in the io-library ('Could not claim the USB device'): Could not claim interface 0 (Operation not permitted). Make sure no other program or kernel module (e.g. dc2xx or stv680) is using the device and you have read/write access to the device. *** Error (-53: 'Could not claim the USB device') *** ------------------------------------------------------- This SF.Net email is sponsored by: IBM Linux Tutorials Free Linux tutorial presented by Daniel Robbins, President and CEO of GenToo technologies.
