So maybe the project should make some news, to say it is still alive.
Also  usb guru/maintainer should advice to use it when they review new 
ez-usb driver.

On http://prdownloads.sourceforge.net/linux-hotplug/ the last release is 
from 2002.

Is it avaible in all distro ?
Also because this is pure userspace, in order to be autoloader by 
udev/hotplug a list of id/firmware name should be maintained somewhere 
and need to be in sync with kernel.

For a device (eagle usb atm driver), I needed to patch it (to relax some 
memory checking), but I don't remember if I submit something.
