I don't agree.
If people are writing their own EZ-USB in their driver, there is a 
problem somewhere.

There even some  "generic" EZ-USB firmware loader in 
drivers/media/dvb/dvb-usb/dvb-usb-firmware.c or driver/usb/serial/ezusb.c
