Hello,

usb devices have gone ...everything seems ok, but they are not detected any
more.

Sane can't find the scanner (scanjet 4100c) and gnomemeeting can't find the
camera (philips vesta 675k): both works in another Deb_sid box (with the same
2.4.22 kernel).

some output that may help:

[not the "Alternate Driver (JE)"] ...tried, didn't work.

/dev/... entries seems ok.

The scanner was attached to a 4-ports hub (stlab USB2 with ac adapter)
Removing the hub didn't help.

scanner.o, pwc.o and pwcx.o "modprobed ok".

Should I check /dev/... ? libs? file permissions?
Is this an application problem or something is broken at low-level?
How can I check?

Thanks in advance for any help!
Gabriele Persia
