Situation is sshd at home, ssh client (putty) on corporate network.corp network is heavily protected and all outgoing is through proxy server. No doubt incoming is also protected. Is there a way to get an ssh client to get OUT of the corp network? shifting sshd to a common port accessible thru the proxy (eg 80, 443,) does not work.
Have you tried a port number greater than 1024?
Please note bene OTTOMH and not guaranteed. Set up an https server outside the protected net which runs one of those ssh enabled terminals as a cgi program. Use this to NAT and relay on to the target. Demonstrate that to the network-nazis, If they have more than 2 brain cells, they will understand the pointlessness or their attitude, on the other hand possibly not.don't suggest getting the corp network nazis to cahnge anything, it is a given that they will not. suggestions?
