I do try to be reasonable and not extreme ... :-)
As an aside, I prefer the Creative Commons licence to the GNU Documentation licence; it is simpler and it does not have the same problems.
I've been thinking about the CLUG wiki, and decided that I should have made a decision about the licensing model before anyone contributed. I think the examples of others has convinced me that the CC license is appropriate, however I haven't actually done any real research on the alternatives.
Can I have some opinions, please?
