I was due to chat with these guys, so I've asked some questions on your behalf.

Does anyone have experience with WirelessWeb?
Any problems with using it via Linux?

No. Configure IP is all that's required.
They have lots of plans incl hotspots around town, which could require ppop in future (Linux ok there?) but not now.

Thanks, Ian Laurenson

You're in Oxford, right? (Someone from there was enquiring re broadband options recently.) If so, connection is possible by line of sight to the Port Hills. Some extra equipment may be necessary, but it sounds like you'd be up for the standard $395 connection fee - if it tests ok. They meet the equipment cost, I believe.
