I use it more now that I have carpet. When we had just wooden floors there
never seemd to be any static around our house - now I am more careful,
even though it is ostensibly 100% wool carpet. Oh and the house is warmer
and more comfortable too :-)

Back on tha actual topic I have had abymal lack of success on self
assembly. I am happy adding hard drives and the odd pci card, but building
the system box seems to leave me with the odd problem. I am probably too
impatient, and the cables always end up a mess too.

I find the best approach is to choose your parts and then buy as many as
possible from the same supplier, and pay them to build it. Then take it
home and instal your own OS (of course).
