To push what I said earlier, the key requirement (IMO) for any distro worth its $.02 is an upgrade path. Except for those boundary conditions like a major uncompatible glibc release, you should not need to buy a new release to get more current apps. Caldera should get off its collective arse and provide upgrade packages to keep you current. That service might even be worth paying a fee for the privilege of using it. Debian has such a feature, I believe RedHat has such a (chargable) feature, Mandrake has such a feature, Slackware has such a feature, and of course my favorite (the unmentionable distro in my signature) has such a feature. -- Collins Richey - Denver Area - WWTLRD? gentoo(since 01/01/01) 2.4.19+(ext3) xfce-sylpheed-mozilla _______________________________________________ Linux-users mailing list - http://linux-sxs.org/mailman/listinfo/linux-users Subscribe/Unsubscribe info, Archives, and Digests are located at the above URL.
