If you want a good community supported distro (great mailing list and web forum; extremely responsive customer service) that's easy to install and very functional, and if you don't have an objection to Debian, have a look at Libranet Linux. The 2.8 version is the latest, and not free, but 2.7 can be had cheap or free to try. Good install and debian packages work, so updates are a breeze.


After floundering around for some time after Caldera self destructed, I have been settled on Libranet for some time. The only drawback, if drawback it is, is it installs a lot of stuff.

Just another alternative to RedHat.
