I have a usb compactflash card reader which I have used in windows and I have 
just recompiled a kernel (2.4.7) which also sees it in linux.

BTW this is on boot and without a card in situ.

I get very annoyed at myself these days when I have previously talked about 
something and then leave it for some time. I then just cannot recall what I 
had done or been told at the time. I find that with anything I do this now 
happens, I have had a real problem getting back into Linux after being in 
windows almost exclusively for about 2-2.5 months, and remembering the 
commands etc.

My question is, how do I get the reader mounted, as there are no drivers in 
/dev/usb: devfs would be my salvation but its too difficult at this point in 
time. Want to get this one working as I an getting a smartmedia one  too that 
works with linux, then I can drop most of the use I put windows to. Still 
need it for processing vcd though.
