Thanks, I think I may have it correctly this time.  When I put the disk 
in, I did get an a: promt and did see the diretory there looked like a 
standard dos boot disk would.  I didn't think to try switching to the cd 
directory, but I will do that now.  If it is a good and propper burn and the 
dos a: prompt is normal, then what is the next step.  This might be a moote 
point for a week or two because I tried my USRmodem again to see if UBUNTU 
might find it.  Wouldn't you know it but I think the video went south 
because now the monitor is not getting a video signal.  It keeps bliking 
it's light as it would when the video isn't hooked up.  If it aint one thing 
it is several others.  SHEESH!
