Its been about a year since I last tried SUSE; it may have improved
since then. At that time however, when tested using an Intel board with
a Pentium D 820 processor, it was pure torture. It was painfully slow,
literally running like a 200Mhz machine. Yes, 200. No other software
performed thus on that machine whether GNU/Linux or Windows.
Additionally, the package manager was broken right from the start, and
even after repairs were implemented, it was convoluted, and like the
rest of the OS, ran so slow I actually grew younger during updates.

In my opinion, Debian and its derivatives are the most user friendly and
efficient distros.
