I have an L440GX+. As I understand it now:
1. To go from Phatbios to Linuxbios I just boot from the Intel floppy
with the Linuxbios romimage files on it
2. To reverse the process, I do as you say with the recovery boot
jumper
I presume that the fuming against Intel witholding knowledge is because of
this second step being awkward (especially if you have a cluster of
hundreds of these things.)
