I have to ask:
Have you down-loaded and looked at the linuxbios code?
The code for enabling cache and configuring MTRRs is all there. There
is also code for the 440BX, I use it every day. It sounds like you are
starting from scratch.
Take a look at src/mainboard/gigabit/ga-6bxc/ and
src/northbridge/intel/440bx
On the other hand, how did you get your SDRAM configured? The BX code
doesn't support SPD config of the SDRAMs at this time and is hard coded
for my very specific SDRAM configuration.
Sorry if a come off a little strange or hard, but I'm puzzled by the
level of success you seem to have without knowing what is in the
linuxbios sources.
