Hello Deepak,

<<<
I like the diary idea a lot.
>>>
It will help us a lot.
For example, We will see where we need more
volonteers.
It will also help us to stay focussed on the project.
It should also be easy and quick to use.

- Applications List

Eugene and all others working on the app list, do you
want me to setup a database here with a web front end?
>>>
It is probably a cleaner solution.
Nevertheless, they are a few points to consider.

- LUGs should be able to download a part of it, (ie
drawing applications list), easily. Not only one app.
but the whole list for one the section they are
interrested in.

- Users that went to LDD may want to get a list and
print it.

- Each new entry should be veryfied before it is
entered into the database.
I get several suggestions from this list or from my
e-mail address, that are already in the database.
I also get same applications with slightly differend
names, (ie, tkdesk, tk-desk, tk desk, tk_desk, not
including letters cases).

Some people are helping me well by leting me know my
mistakes, and be checking before supplying a new one,
(Bill, Chris, Marcelo, ).
Others just supply new names, without bothering
checking if they already exist.

<<<
If you let me know the list of fields that you
want,...
>>>
Here is a list I am thinking of :
Bill, Do you think of anymore ?

- Software name.
- Company or Organisation, (the one that produce it).
- Where to get it, (Internet URL, or BBS).
- Comments, (or description).
- Distributions that include the software, (Caldera,
Debian, Suse,...).
- License type, (GPL,copyright, licensing...).
- General functional category, (it could belong to
more than one).
- Emulation status, (will specify if the app. exist in
others O.S.).
- Language availability

optional :
- Entered on :
- Entered by :

<<<
add multiple language support to the fields that need
it.
>>>
It would be great.

        Eugene.
