I so wish I could get Arch working on my laptop. I've tried the last 2
releases and whenever I connect to wifi - my wifi chipset is ipw2100 -
whenever I try to put a large amount of info through it - like streaming a
video, the connection always drops. BTW - my router is a Linksys WRT54G2
with dd-wrt firmware. I'm using WPA2 encryption and have tried both
Network Manager and Wicd. I've tried asking on the Freenode #archlinux
channel and all they can say is to physically connect my laptop to the
router when I want to watch streaming media. That is just not an option
for me. Do you possibly have any words of wisdom, Mr Bess... or anybody
else for that matter???
