OpenSUSE has too much of an office environment feel for my taste. I know you could tweak it to make it look and function like a home desktop, but it seemed like too much work for my liking (yet here I am running on Arch, which is a lot of work). Just my opinion.
The Carrier IQ is an app that runs on Android, but it is only used on some phone of some carriers. Having Android on say, your tablet or whatever, is no threat. In fact, there was just a release last week about Linux jobs. The highest demand is in Java and Android development for Linux environments. It is most definitely an open source project to get involved in. Jeremiah E.
