JaxLUG is an acronym. It's cryptic. It's militaristic. It's governmental. Only those in the know know what it means and use it in any type of conversation or correspondence. Go to the Fundamentals of Programming 101 class at UNF, stick your head in the room and ask if anyone wants to join the JaxLUG. Only the professor might have a clue as to what you're talking about. But if you ask if anyone wants to join the Jacksonville Linux User's Group, you'll have 100% comprehension from the audience. If you want group involvement and activity, then you have to be found to be heard. This city of a million plus should have JaxLUG participation and membership in the hundreds, if not thousands. Relying upon a mailing list and, what's it called?, IRC?, is way beyond yesterday and typically nothing anyone under the age of 30 wants to partake in. --------------------------------------------------------------------- Archive http://marc.info/?l=jaxlug-list&r=1&w=2 RSS Feed http://www.mail-archive.com/[email protected]/maillist.xml Unsubscribe [email protected]
