BTW I very much resent that statement. Facts are since I have been
helping out, leading things, or its been my LUG. However you want to
call it.

We had our first year of solid meetings in 2010. Likely to repeat in
2011, unless others drop the ball there. We have lots of new members,
and have had several record numbers of meeting attendance in the last
two years. More so than we have had in the last 5 or more. Not since we
met at a Library off Gate Parkway, before Chris Devidal left the JaxLUG
and that was some time ago.

Its exactly this point of view, and mostly business reasons, why I am
moving on. Sure I do get thanks and appreciate from most, more so those
that know what I am saying is true because they have seen it with their
own eyes attending meetings and otherwise.

But for others to act like because of me the JaxLUG is in jeopardy or
the mercy of a single individual. Well this single individual has done
much more than several in the past years. With much more progress and to
show for all the effort. Not to mention mailing list, wiki, and other
aspects in much better condition, and being actively administrated, with
an admin that easily reachable and responds....

Its very insulting, and does not motivate me to want to contribute more
to the community.

Also what assets? Mailing list is just a list of emails, no data is
stored there. Sure lots of data in the wiki, but short of meeting stuff,
I put most of that data there. I could argue its mine, or the
communities, not the JaxLUG's IPO. Only asset the JaxLUG really has is
its domain name. Which I am NOT the owner of the domain name ;)
