Hello all, I would like advice on the optimal set up to use. Here is my situation.
--Small office with around 20 company computers, and several personal mobile devices. --Internal mail sever, ports are forwarded on router. --Some users are allowed internet access on their work PCs and mobiles. --All users are allowed IMAP/SMTP access for email. I have installed pfSense in a virtual machine (vmware). The esxi server has 2 network ports. Currently, my internet comes in through a linksys router, in which I have set up the above rules. However, we would like to introduce a proxy server, and also internet use monitoring and banning of excessive users. I have tried setting up pfSense as follows: --el0 as LAN Interfase (192.168.0.1) --el1 as WAN Interface (ISP IP) --My laptop pointed to 192.168.0.1 as Router and DNS --The pfSense installation has internet access, but my laptop cannot get online.
