Seems to run excellent, thanks sam/vern. I was about to comment on how
smooth the transition was. In the interest of progress for the list I
would be interested in helping set up some image hosting space under the
banner of liveaboardnow.org and expanding our list. I also think the
move to moderated posts would be a good move.

Rit,
Although I agree that political rants can only cause trouble on a
non-political list as this, and I also agree that many topics alhtough
political, may have liveaboard interest/consequences, I am very
interested in why you think there are problems with the move to the new
server? Yes, we had an interesting debate about loyalty to Stefan but
once everyone understood that this was not an attempt to "steal" the
list but instead, an effort to keep the list alive, it seems like the
transition went very well. Do you have info that indicates that members

have been lost? Every one of the usual suspects seem to be posting. I
admit we may have lost some that had lost interest and never
unsubscribed but I have not heard a single complaint since the
transition. I think it has been so smooth that most people don't even
remember that it is running on a different server. Same/same as far as
I can tell. In fact, even though Stefan has not been heard from in
months, both servers remain up and operational and we have been able to
test the new server to assure everyone that it will run as good or
better/faster than the old. And once the old server goes away, anyone
who has not yet switched over (because they don't have to yet) will be
able to subscribe to the new with no problems. Anyone know of issues
that we are unaware of?

Sam
