Push-push operation is a no-go because one cannot know whether the load is off or on.
Indicators lights is a no-go because either they would have to be at the load, where one cannot see them, or more wires would have to be run with would defeat the concept of one-wire control. I need positive operation, I push the toggle switch up, the load goes on, I push the toggle down the load goes off. Every time. And keep in mind the other question, sending a low oil or high temp signal on one wire.
