I have applied 3M reflective tape (white) as a border on my cabin sides and
plan on doing it parallel to my accent stripe on the hull this layup. With
very little ambient light it shows up well. It makes for finding the boat in
an anchorage easy -- just scan with a flashlight and it lights right up.

sometimes even rope lighting and any other lights blend with the shore
line..

We used to hang a davis light from the boom about 6 inches down, as well as
the masthead light..

Don't think it made that much difference... anyone going thru an anchorage
needs to pay super
close attention.

I have posted it b4, and I shall again,
Many times, In Tarpon Basin, Sailboats at anchor with just a masthead anchor
lite DO NOT SHOW UP!
Especially on a small boat at 20 mph at nite.

It's insane to sleep on a boat with JUST AN ANCHOR LITE! an anchor lite
looks like a star. Blends right in.
personally, I never felt anchor lights should be white. Maybe yellow?? but
they are not.

Sailboaters, use spreader lites, lcd ropoe lighting, anything, light up your
vessels.

, on the water, not up in the air 30 ft.

You will sleep better and safer.

See you on the Waterways!
