We are using a tri color masthead light and hang a Davis Light on the stern
from the arch as a back up. It seems to work pretty well so far. When we
leave the boat we just flip on the anchor light and when it gets dusk the
anchor
light comes on.

One other thing we have done is hooked up a spot light on the arch. The
light faces down so it shows only on the water directly behind the boat. (It
can
be turned if needed.) We have used the big light on several occasions,
especially when arriving back to the boat after dark and needing to unload the
dinghy. The light makes it possible to be sure we take everything out of the
dinghy. When the anchorage is very crowded, we sometimes use it so others can
see
us and not anchor too close.
