The problem is that the line broke so I can't really use it as a messenger. 
But you may have a point if I can feed enough of the existing line down from 
the top and whether or not there's any 'access' hole towards the bottom to 
poke the knitting needle in. I'll have to check the next time I'm on the 
boat.
