Thanks. Looks like the av_close_output_file error and the resulting crash are
gone, but I still can't save my edited clip, as I'm still getting the read
error, even though I am able to use the internal player to play both the audio
and the video. The upshot of my problem is that I am able to manipulate any
clip
in any way, up to and including replacing the audio entirely, and I can even
play either the entire clip or start playing at the first selected frame, but
encoding either the selection or the entire clip results in the error that
indicates that LiVES is unable to read the audio data which is obviously being
read during playback. Clicking the "Show details" button on the error message
no
longer crashes LiVES, but for some reason it causes my screen reader to stop
speaking the LiVES window, so I've taken the screenshot at

Hopefully it will be able to shed some light on what is going on. I also ran
LiVES with the -debug option in case it helps. Thanks again for the help, as
this is by far the best video editing software I've used on any OS, and I'm
really looking forward to being able to take full advantage of its
functionality
again.
