Hi to all,
I'm using Ubuntu Studio with lmms 0.4.6~ppa-3. If I use alsa everything goes
fine (except from occasional crashes and no-sound problems). But if I use
jack (as I'd like to do in a jack-centric environment) the problem is always
the same:
"LMMS was kicked by jack for some reason, ecc...".
On the console:
there's already a client with name 'lmms', so unique name 'lmms-07' was
assigned
cannot lock down memory for RT thread (Cannot allocate memory)
zombified - calling shutdown handler
there's already a client with name 'lmms', so unique name 'lmms-08' was
assigned
cannot lock down memory for RT thread (Cannot allocate memory)
zombified - calling shutdown handler
...
and so on. This permits me to start lmms but every time I load a project or
I change an instruments or similar the annoying message pops up. I noted
also a number of xruns on jack (one for each error message).
I've read something on the Net but no solutions for this.
Is impossible to me work in this way. lmms is a great tool but I cannot use
it without jack.
Some solutions/tricks/other?
Thanks in advance,
fabrizio
