Well, you'll obsolete JACK the day you have a mastering compressor, DSSI and LV2 support, every sound generator currently supported by JACK and not by LMMS, and every other effect and sound generator that will be built for JACK between now and the day LMMS makes it obsolete. I look forward to that day, since LMMS allowed me to get more done in a couple weeks than in 5 or 6 years of dicking around with JACK stuff, but in the meantime I have to start my work in LMMS, render it out to a WAV file and finish it in something else. Which is at least an option, one which isn't available with the "fistful of programs and some duct tape" method of music making. But there's a long way to go before JACK's obsolete. You sure you didn't like the name "Ambition"? ;) Rob ------------------------------------------------------------------------------ This SF.Net email is sponsored by the Verizon Developer Community Take advantage of Verizon's best-in-class app development support A streamlined, 14 day to market process makes app distribution fast and easy Join now and get one step closer to millions of Verizon customers http://p.sf.net/sfu/verizon-dev2dev _______________________________________________ Lmms-users mailing list [email protected] https://lists.sourceforge.net/lists/listinfo/lmms-users
