Ubuntu's RT kernel has RT scheduling. With the 'chrt' command you can 
set the priorities of processes, I abusively mentioned 'rtirq'. I'll try 
assigning a higher priority to LMMS but I doubt if it improves the 
performance with JACK as the backend.
