well --- the LTSP police will not come arrest you, but it may not work as desired -- I have run two DHCP servers on a segment, and while they do not interact before the ISC version 3, they do not 'fight' one another. With the ISC dhcp v3, a OMAPI capability exists, and it should be possible to script common configuration propigation between two heart-beated dhcpd servers on different hosts. see: man dhcp for that version. see especially the CONTROL and FAILOVER-STATE objects.
