Thanks for the help!

I did try with X3.3.6 but for whatever reason the rc.setupx3 script
didn't seem to be getting generating a usable Xconfig file.

I ended up just using X4.2.  Actually it was not hard.  I just copied
the main lib directory along with the X binary into the appropriate
directories and tweaked the config file I had used when I setit
standalone.
