there are two seperate questions here, the answer is yes to both. 1. you can use the rdesktop to log in directly to windows TSE, i did this at my old job in order to 'not' use citrix like I originally thought i had to.
2. you could setup an autologin for each person. i don't know if this would work for roaming accounts but its possible. i do have one question though, are you using the linux tsp as a basis for your office applications and such, and the windows tse as a os for some windows specific application? At my old job that was the case, and it seemed to work fine, however I think that after I left they scrapped the whole thing and are now operating as individual workstations, each running windows and still using a terminal server for a DOS application. quite pathetic really. oh well joey ----- Original Message ----- From: Remi BERNHARD <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> To: <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> Sent: Wednesday, November 20, 2002 12:04 AM Subject: [Ltsp-discuss] Rdp Clients for Windows TSE > Does anyone know how to install and rdp client for a login to Windows TSE > (win2000 or Nt). > For example is it possible to : > - boot from one floppy and after login to LTSP server, run rdesktop to log > on the Win2000 server ? > - make a boot (floppy) disk under linux to log directly to the Win2000 server. > > I've found a link, but I haven't undestand anything at all (looks like ltsp > btw...) > Here it is : > http://bibl4.oru.se/projects/rdesktop/related/nfsroot/ > > Regards, > Remi. > > > > ------------------------------------------------------- > This sf.net email is sponsored by: To learn the basics of securing > your web site with SSL, click here to get a FREE TRIAL of a Thawte > Server Certificate: http://www.gothawte.com/rd524.html > _____________________________________________________________________ > Ltsp-discuss mailing list.
