I sure would like to know whats going on as well. Francis' LDM patch fixes Auto login but breaks LDM_REMOTECMD and disables access to the LDM Shutdown option. And since ACPI isn't implemented for the clients the only way shutdown the clients is to hold the power button down which isn't good for Gnome or its various applications.... Sigh... I am in the process of deploying 40 terminals (kiosks) that run a custom java application. Because LDM_REMOTE is broken the only way I can get the application to auto-start is to add a custom start up script to the Gnome Sessions start up programs. It sure would have been nice to have been able to add the entry to the lts.conf file right below the LDM_USERNAME and LDM_PASSWORD entries. Sigh again... ------------------------------------------------------------------------- This SF.net email is sponsored by the 2008 JavaOne(SM) Conference Don't miss this year's exciting event.
