I can say that I have found Nod32 to be both light on the systems it
runs as well as being very manageable on a LAN.
You can get evaluation versions at http://www.eset.com/home/home.htm. Go
for the "Windows NT/2000/2003/XP - administrator" version.

IIRC AVG used to be able to update from a network folder, maybe I

purpose.........and it is free.
