sure - what i actually meant is that you need a lot of RAM (you wont run
VMs reliably with less than 1GB - in fact, 2GB would be the bare minimum)

but why not simplify stuff - import your maildir mail to a mozilla
variant (thunderbird, netscape or seamonkey), and 'roam' with your
platform independent profile whenever you change computers and OSes?
