Hi, we offer some downloads on our local server, which is much faster for most people in Uganda. As long as your ISP is connected to the UIXP.
I posted a link on the i-network list, and noted that it was for 'people in uganda'. So someone with a VSAT decided to download a file of 350 MB using a downloader. At a few occasions he had so many sessions open to our server, apache became irresponsive. ping, ssh, mail all was fine, but apache could not take it anymore. I got 2 questions: - Is there a setting in the apache2.conf with which you can limit the amount of seesions per IP? Wouldnt the default protected me from this behaviour? - I now limited the download back to the subnet that the server is in. I would much more like to allow everyone in uganda to be able to download. How do i get a list of all Ugandan subnets in use that i can use in my .htaccess files? -- rgds, Reinier Battenberg Director Mountbatten Ltd. +256 782 801 749 www.mountbatten.net _______________________________________________ LUG mailing list [email protected] http://kym.net/mailman/listinfo/lug %LUG is generously hosted by INFOCOM http://www.infocom.co.ug/ The above comments and data are owned by whoever posted them (including attachments if any).
