Personally, having moved from Linux to Mac OS X mid last
year, I'd say it was easier for me to move from Windows to
SuSE than it was from SuSE to Mac OS X.

It was not so much the nitty-gritty details and differences
in both OS's that I had to pick up (that's the easy part),
as it was customizing what applications I find important to
me within my newly-found operating environment, i.e., the
flexibility (or lack thereof) of large scale e-mail storage
on Mac OS X sucks. Thankfully, VMWare is my friend.

Having said that, there are a lot of things Mac (and Mac OS
X) does quite intuitively well as compared to Linux that
one cannot ignore.

All in all, with VMWare, I'm happy (for now). But, for full
and true flexibility, I'd still choose Linux any day; my
power app on Linux remains KMail. So far, Mac OS X has
handled my other "power apps" with little or no drama.

However, should more of my apps move to Linux because I
can "tweak" them far easier and better there, then moving
back to Linux would be logical.

Cheers,

Mark.
