I am sure i have used that functionality to exchange changes. I dont know how 
it looks on the other end, but i did get feedback.

Academics should use FOSS in the first place, burning tax-money to fund the 
american economy is not a good economic model. 
But the move might be challenging. (but hey, we have to move one day, really, 
you just have to pick a date. Unless you really think that M$ will rule the 
world 10 years from now, and you are willing to contribute to that.)
