Not if you cooperate with people that just open a document and start typing. Have exchanged docs rather often, and even used the annotations functionality. No Prob. Yes, if people get creative with formatting, you might have issues. But mostly i keep the formatting for last anyways. And only distribute final documents in .pdf. (Where was that option in M$ Word again?) Same for presentations, i use PDFs as well. And if you really have problems, we persuade the partner to switch, too. It makes them happy, once they did. > > > We switched with the entire company 4 years ago, and never looked back. > > If you chose to share documents only amongst yourselves, or convert to > pdf before sharing, your idea will work. > > eb > -- rgds, Reinier Battenberg Director Mountbatten Ltd. +256 782 801 749 www.mountbatten.net _______________________________________________ LUG mailing list [email protected] http://kym.net/mailman/listinfo/lug %LUG is generously hosted by INFOCOM http://www.infocom.co.ug/ The above comments and data are owned by whoever posted them (including attachments if any).
