There are several instant messaging apps for the iphone. But they are
all plagued by the same fundamental flaw. When you go back to your home
screen, or take a call, or the phone screen saver comes on. The app will
disconnect you from the service. So I for example who leaves MSN logged
in on my blackberry, can not do the same on my iphone which is very
annoying since messenger apps are a big part of how I stay in touch with
co workers and family

Is there any other kind of Instant messaging app. for this device? Can
you view and create .doc or .docx files?
I didn't quite understand what they meant by supported attachment
formats and all those file formats were included.

Now if only skype could release a skype client for the iphone.
