When you close the browser you don't get notifications that there is a new message from someone. So when my boss is blowing up my messenger saying that the Colo went down I have no idea unless I open my browsers every 5 minutes. I guess I got spoiled with the BB allowing me to set ring tones or status light indicators to flash when a new im comes in. going to the browser defeats the 'instant' part of the concept 'instant messaging'

From the iPhone, open Safari, go to www.meebo.com, select your network (Yahoo/AIM/MSN/GTalk/ICQ/Jabber). It works within the browser and does not disconnect. -- Hari _______________________________________________ LUG mailing list [email protected] http://kym.net/mailman/listinfo/lug %LUG is generously hosted by INFOCOM http://www.infocom.co.ug/ The above comments and data are owned by whoever posted them (including attachments if any).
