It is the realization that customers buy more feelings than value
that we don’t learn in school but through experience. IN my long
ago days, customers only paid more if the software had a snazzy
foreground and with nice colours, not easy to do with Clipper !!
It didn’t matter if you told them that you had added in a module
that could use statistical algorithm to solve a day to day report
that took them 6 days base don data from an excel spreadsheet
compiled into database and into a report in their software.
That was the initial success of M$oft and is the success of some
telecom companies – make them feel good, and the rest is history.

Regrettably, Mr. Asay concluded, the developers responsible for
Linux aren't the right people to market the advantages of Linux.
Very truthful statement above. I do concur 100%.
BTW I am the owner of an IPOD and you should see how cool it makes
me feel whenever am listening to audio material or watching movies
on it. I just feel NICE.
When you call Kiggs on his line that uses the Iphone, the way he
talks to you is so much more sexy and cool than when he is using
his other Nokia based line. <image002.gif>
And who said customers don't buy feelings? They do.
