The only problem with the current generation Apple Tv units 
is that they are the epitome of "cloud".

Unless you have local sources (which only work with iTunes, 
so you can forget about DLNA), you'll be streaming 
everything off your Internet connection.

Data caps notwithstanding for those that purchase such 
plans, unless you have a decent link, it could be quite 
frustrating. Being connected to an ISP that has (local or 
regional) peering with Akamai, Limewire, Google, Apple, 
e.t.c. (and better, if those companies are actually serving 
data in your region) goes a long way to making that 
experience more palatable.
