1.) Hm, in the mean time I implemented nonstandard :(
2.) The testcases are not because of packages which are not in TL, but also 
because of missing
(or not easy to install) system fonts.

Good guess. I changed the OS ( now Mint). Although it is based on ubuntu, I have
not installed everything I had before.

BUT I keep the OS packages up to date.
