Actually actually, I'm wrong about that. This setting depends upon LYX_PROGRAM_PREFIX. We normally do not have the prefix in the case of the Windows install, but 2.3.0 and 2.3.1 (so far) did. So most users will now have a "LyX 2.3" user directory, or something of the sort. I have updated the configure.py script to do something similar to what is done on OSX. This will not work for everyone: If you already have a "LyX" user directory (say from a 2.2.x installation), then we will not copy the "LyX 2.3" directory into it. So I'll put some kind of note on the download page about this, and include it in the announcement. Riki
