but when somebody do so (You or I), then I'd like session logging to
go in at the same time.

So I'd like to see at least six new LFUN's:

macro-begin arg
macro-end
macro-run arg
perhaps:
macro-delete arg
macro-list

session-log-start
session-log-stop
session-log-play
