The only alternative I know of is dvilj4, but I doubt that many people are actively using that. I would not personnally be against such a change, especially if we manage to make printing use the default dvi->ps converter without much special casing. And having a ps->printer converter sounds good. But then, we have to make sure that there is no loss of functionality. JMarc
