All > of these changes are their doing, not mine. I think it looks great as is... The tocloft package will do everything that you need. Grab the package documentation and read through it. It took me quite a while to figure out how to add dotted leaders to chapters or sections. This was a requirement for my thesis also. I've attached a simple example of how to add dotted leaders and change the name of the table of contents. Consult the tocloft documentation for the other requirements. reason my List of Tables and List of Figures got dropped from the Table of contents when I added your tex into my preamble... Is there any reason for this, or do I need to add something else? Charles
