Yes -- you're right -- this solves it. Thanks!
That's not a bug but is how it's supposed to work, I think. The
idea is that you're keeping the window open but only updating it
when you ask for it to be updated. On slow machines, this is crucial.
The bug is that clicking "Update" does nothing.
